Large numbers of people at the Gala de Mar de Cristal Trovalia

El Paseo Marítimo de Mar de Cristal was packed spectators to enjoy the second day of this festival, which ends on August 26 with their latest gala in Puerto de Cabo de Palos.

Hundreds of residents gathered yesterday at the second gala International Festival of improvised poetry, Trovalia 2010, which took place in the Paseo Marítimo in Mar de Cristal.

The show, entitled Between Brisas, Verses and Rhythms: rainbow of Verses on the shores of Mar Menor, featured a performance by artists of different styles, music and singing, from Colombia, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela; and different regions such as Catalonia, the Canary Islands and Murcia.

The trovo goes back to the Middle Ages, with the appearance of characters like the minstrels and troubadours. The district of Cartagena done this years festival, where fans and artists gather to enjoy a original show with improvised poetry as a protagonist.

The program began on Sunday 22 August, in Port of Cartagena. Village on the stage of the Audi MedCup Public 2010, on the esplanade of the Heroes of Cavite, was carried out by the individual presentation of the various forms of this art in the four South American and English regions participating, united by the magic of sudden and improvised poetry.

The third and final gala will take place on Thursday 26 August at the port of Cabo de Palos. With the suggestive title of Waves and Lights Festival's Poetry repentistas deployed, beginning at 22.30 hours, a wide amalgam of music, poetry and emotion, with the waves of the Mediterranean set the pace for the night.
