Klaus Moje
Klaus Moje is founder of the contemporary glass art in Australia.
His contact with the glass began in the 1950's in the family workshop in Hamburg, Germany. During the 1960 and 1970 explored the expressive potential of glass and began to exhibit internationally. Wet emigrated to Australia in 1982 to become head of the foundation of the Glass Workshop at the ANU School of Art in Canberra. won several awards in Australia, Europe and the United States, including a nomination for the "Living Treasure: Masters of Australian Craft" intended, Australian Centre for Craft & Design.
Klaus Moje designs with geometric and abstract patterns, vibrant colors. After five decades, continues to expand the technical and expressive possibilities of glass and is producing the best work of his career.
His contribution to art glass makes as an artist, educator, mentor and advocate.
